Telemetry from Meshtastic Mapper software

Starting with version 2.1.1, Meshtastic Mapper sends an anonymous ping once per day to help the developer understand how many installations are active. This is opt-out — you can disable it in Config → Coverage tab.

We do NOT collect: IP addresses (hashed for rate limiting only, never stored in full), node data, GPS coordinates, messages, usernames, or any personally identifiable information.

We do not collect email addresses, names, or any personally identifiable information through this website.

3. Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics platform. Umami:

Does not track users across websites
Does not collect personal information
Does not store IP addresses
Is hosted on our own servers in the European Union

No cookie consent banner is needed because no cookies are used.

4. External Resources

This website loads the following external resources:

Google Fonts (Inter, JetBrains Mono) — Google's font service may log standard web request data (IP, user agent) per their privacy policy.
GitHub — Links to the project repository. GitHub's privacy statement applies when you visit GitHub.

5. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies, localStorage, or any client-side tracking technologies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking scripts.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to share.

7. The Open-Source Software

Meshtastic Network Mapper is open-source software that runs locally on your own hardware. The software itself:

Sends an anonymous telemetry ping once per day (version, platform, uptime — no personal data). Opt-out available in Config → Coverage tab
Stores all data (nodes, messages, statistics) locally on your device
Connects only to your Meshtastic device and optionally to the Coverage Server if you configure it
The Coverage Server has its own Privacy Policy

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since we do not collect personal data through this website, most GDPR data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure) do not apply in practice. However, if you believe we hold any personal data about you, you have the right to:

Access — Request information about any data we may hold
Erasure — Request deletion of any data
Objection — Object to any processing

9. Supervisory Authority

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO): uodo.gov.pl
